A black-and-gold Art Deco setting — layered drapery in gold, charcoal and sheer white framed by a stepped Deco arch with a “HARLEM RENAISSANCE” marquee plate, with matching urn torchieres flanking the playing space. Designed for the African American Museum (Director: Jiles King, 4/29/18) and engineered to be built from inexpensive lumber and insulation board so a small crew could assemble it on site.
Rendered front views of the setting alongside the construction package: the three-bay 2×4 trellis substructure and the dimensioned insulation-board frame that carries the marquee. Scale 1/4”=1’0”.
