About the Design
A full costume design for Wedekind’s late-19th-century world of repressed adolescence, rendered in hand-illustrated plates. The palette moves from muted institutional greys and indigos toward charged reds and golds as the characters strain against the constraints around them.
Renderings & Production
The illustrated plates set the silhouette and texture for each character; the production photographs show the looks realized on the SMU stage.
